When the waves come
Cherating gets its surf with the northeast monsoon. Book early for December to February.
Surf lessons
Stand up on your first day.
Every class starts on the sand with technique and safety, then straight into the whitewater with a local instructor. Boards and gear are included, and you keep your board for free practice after.

Half day from RM50
Soft-top, short board, long board or mid length. Half day or full day.

Locals who grew up in these waves.
Local surfers who grew up on this beach and know every wave it throws. They’ll be in the water with you from your first paddle to your first ride.
After your session
Cool down at the beach cafe.
Cold drinks and light bites a few steps from the water. Surfing not required.
